Our Much Anticipated First Inspection

Ben and I flew over to the Sunshine Coast for a quick visit to inspect the build and meet with our Site Manager.  It was good to see the windows and doors installed and the Surfmist colourbond roof fitted.  We were very happy in particular with our front entry pivot door.  Overall, the house sits great on the property and our living and outdoor areas really capitalise on the view.

Positioning The Tanks

With the help of Bens brother and neighbour and a lot of heave-ho, we finally got the 600kg rainwater tanks in position.  

Gutters & Fascia's

Form of the house beginning to now take shape now that the Surfmist gutters and fascia's are fitted.  Roof barriers are on ready for roof install.

We finally broke ground!

Construction Plans Finalised

After building with Metricon in Melbourne and being very happy with the quality of build, we decided to build with them again.  We chose a design called The Denver 30, which has an Australian homestead look and feel - perfect for our rural block!

Our main upgrades to the design were:

• Colonial fascade with verandahs
• Increased internal ceiling height to 2700mm
• Increased internal door heights to 2340mm
• Added a third garage
• Added an under roof Grand Outdoor Area
• Caesarstone benchtops throughout
• 2-Pac, Satin finish, Shaker profile Kitchen cabinetry
• Floor to ceiling tiles in Bathroom & Ensuite
