Christmas 2014

As we were living in Perth at the time, we never actually physically viewed the property ourselves - until Christmas 2014, when we went over to visit Bens brother and his family who live nearby.

In the six months since owning the property, we had the grazing horses removed, a row of native hedge plants planted on the south-eastern boundary and the property regularly mowed by a local gardener.

We think the following photos speak for themselves.

Topographic Survey

To assist us with the location of the future house site, we ordered a Topographic Survey which identifies and maps the contours of the property and any existing features on the surface eg. trees, neighbouring buildings, streets etc.

Where It All Began

After much deliberation, we decided to sell our much loved Melbourne home and purchased this three acre block in Cooroibah, Noosa.  Our dream was to always own our own little bit of private paradise, whilst not being too far from big city amenities.  We love the laid-back, outdoor lifestyle and gorgeous natural scenery that comes with Noosa, so we think we would be well suited.

Our block is semi cleared with large mature trees scattered throughout and bordered by natural bush on the north-western side.  Being located at the end of a quiet court ensures that nothing will be disturbing the tranquility of our new semi-rural life.

As you can see by these photos, at the time of purchase the property was used to graze horses and was barely maintained and left in an unsightly condition.  We quickly put a stop to this as our next blog will show.
